Yes I like to ease their thoughts but i feel like its a waste of time

As the fullness of my cup drains out
spilling onto the floor of my heart
and leaks out my eyes
from clouds that rain deep inside
I think of you.
Searching for something to release
someone to take away my burning desire
yearning to love,
to be loved.
Wanting to be accepted but
acceptance has a price when given too early.
Living up to standards i should have put in motion a long time ago.
Never know what you missed
until its missing.
You made the pain of my heartbeat subside
but now that beat strains my chest
and my body takes it once more.
But I force myself to do it again
being more selective in my words and choices.
See I don't want to be cold
some woman who's heartache causes her to freeze
the warmth and love there is to give.
An icebox where my heart used to be
is not ideal for this young lady.
But I keep going back
because the drive that has allowed me to open up again
wont let me stop until I get what I'm searching for.
I know I have to face my future
head up and forward march.
With every challenge up ahead
I take my struggles and use them like cards
to play this hand in life.
I just hope I am where I need to be
